At the request of CEPICI in collaboration with the Ivorian Embassy in Portugal and the Portuguese Business Association, was held on June 23, 2016 in Porto, the third Ivoiro-Portuguese Forum to consolidate the bonds of economic cooperationbetween the two countries.
This event was organized in the margins of the Ivorian Prime Minister HE Mr. Daniel Kablan Duncan’s working visit, in Portugal. About 200 firms were present in order to develop business partnerships.
During the ceremony, M. Emmanuel Essis, Managing Director of CEPICI and the Trade and Investment Agency of Portugal (AICEP) Administrator‘s outlined the various businesses investment opportunities for both countries.
Following their presentations, over one hundred B to B meetings were held to build technical and financial partnerships between Ivorian’s and Portuguese businessmen; the challenge being to strengthen economic relation between Côte d’Ivoire and Portugal.
Several Portugese companies such as Jetclass and Jorge Marinho already working in Côte d'Ivoire took part to the forum as well as companies operating in infrastructure, telecommunication, recycling of oil residues.
It is worth noting this is the third edition after March 17, 2015 in Lisbon and the June 18, 2015 in Abidjan.
